What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you use Laureate's research modules, we store the content you submit — including protocol drafts, study materials, and AI-generated feedback — so you can access your work across sessions. When you join the waitlist, we collect your name and institutional email. We do not collect payment information directly. If and when billing is introduced, it will be handled by a third-party payment processor.

How we store your data

Your data is stored in Supabase, a database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services in the US East (Ohio) region. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, ISO 27001 certified, and HIPAA compliant. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to your data is enforced at the database level using Row Level Security (RLS). This means your protocols and research materials are accessible only to your account — not to other users, and not to Laureate staff in the normal course of operations.

AI processing

Laureate uses the Anthropic Claude API to power its research modules. When you submit materials for review, your content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and a response is returned. Anthropic may retain this data for up to 30 days for safety and security purposes. Your data is never used to train Anthropic's models without your express permission. For full details, see Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Laureate does not use your research content to train any AI models.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use your protocol submissions, study materials, or research content for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Data retention

Your account data and research materials are retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your data will be deleted within 30 days upon request. To request deletion, contact us at the address below.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, request corrections, and request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
